SCOTT INGWERS APPOINTED MANAGING DIRECTOR
OF TRUMP INTERNATIONAL HOTEL & TOWER® WAIKIKI BEACH WALK®
NEW YORK – March 30, 2009 – Trump Hotel Collection today announced the appointment of Scott Ingwers as managing director of Trump International Hotel & Tower® Waikiki Beach Walk®, opening late 2009. With 38 stories and 464 spacious hotel rooms and suites on the most sought-after location in Waikiki, Trump International Hotel & Tower® Waikiki Beach Walk® promises to raise the Waikiki resort lifestyle to a new level of luxury. Ingwers will oversee all operating aspects of the hotel.
“Scott possesses extensive experience in the luxury hotel sector that will be a great asset to Trump International Hotel & Tower® Waikiki Beach Walk® and the Trump Hotel Collection as a whole,” said Jim Petrus, chief operating officer of Trump International Hotels Management LLC. “Beginning his career in food and beverage and later managing leading luxury hotels in Hawaii, Scott brings with him a high level of Hawaii experience that will help us bring the essence of Hawaii to life at Trump International Hotel & Tower® Waikiki Beach Walk®.”
With over 20 years in the hospitality industry, working with such notable properties as the Hyatt Regency Maui and the Renaissance Wailea Beach Resort, Ingwers has demonstrated adeptness at creating substantial operational and financial improvements. His creative approach to strategic planning, dynamic marketing and team motivation has led each of these resorts to high honors, including AAA Five Diamond Resort recognition.
Ingwers joined Trump International Hotel & Tower® Waikiki Beach Walk® from The Fairmont Kea Lani, Maui, a AAA Four Diamond Resort, where he served as hotel manager. Prior to that, Ingwers held leadership positions that included General Manager at the Maui Prince Hotel of Makena Resort & Golf Courses, a AAA Four Diamond resort.
A member of the board of directors of the Maui Hotel Association, Ingwers graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a bachelor of science in hotel and resort management.
